Marnie Wright

Marnie Wright, CPHR, currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer and Assistant Vice President at the University of Saskatchewan since November 2023. Wright has extensive experience in academia, including a position as faculty at Thompson Rivers University since January 2002, teaching Introduction to Human Resources and Strategic Human Resources. Prior roles include Associate Vice President Human Resources at the University of the Fraser Valley from June 2018 to November 2023 and Associate Superintendent of Human Resources at Abbotsford School District from February 2010 to July 2018, where the focus was on enhancing professional development offerings for a large workforce. Earlier in career, Wright was Team Lead and HR Business Partner at BCIT from October 1996 to February 2010, contributing to the organization's recognition as one of the top employers in British Columbia. Wright holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Saskatchewan, a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, and completed professional coaching training at the Coaches Training Institute.
