Prof. Qassim Nasir

Prof. Qassim Nasir is an esteemed academic and professional in the field of computer engineering, holding various significant positions at the University of Sharjah since September 1991, including Professor, Security Program Coordinator, IT Director, and Head of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. With extensive expertise as a Research and Development Manager, Prof. Nasir has led numerous prominent projects at Nortel Networks and Prior Data Sciences in Canada, focusing on optical switching and firmware architecture. Additionally, Prof. Nasir holds certifications including Juniper Associate and CISSP, and actively coordinates a research group aimed at engaging students in research on the deployment of OSS across various sectors.
