Freya Higgins-Desbiolles is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Taylor's University of Malaysia since January 2022, Higgins-Desbiolles has held various roles at the University of South Australia since September 2001, including Adjunct Senior Lecturer and Researcher, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer. Additionally, at the University of Waterloo's Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, Higgins-Desbiolles has been an Adjunct Associate Professor since January 2021. Previously, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Tourism, University of Otago, from January to November 2013, Higgins-Desbiolles possesses a PhD in International Relations from Flinders University of South Australia and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Schiller International University, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from the University of Dallas.
