Ben Parslow has a diverse work experience that spans across different industries and roles. Ben has worked as a Head Venue Technician at the University of Southampton Students' Union, where they led a team in delivering exceptional event experiences for students and customers. Ben also worked as an Admissions Officer at the University of Winchester, where they processed applications and provided advice to potential students. Ben's experience also includes roles at City College Southampton, Your Move, Hoburne Ltd, Tate Recruitment, John Lewis Southampton, Christchurch Harbour Hotel, and Reel Wellington 'Wellesley' Cinema, where they gained skills in recruitment, coordination, customer service, administration, and sales.
Ben Parslow attended Court Fields Community School from 2003 to 2007, where they earned their GCSE and GNVQ in Information Technology, Computing, and Drama. Ben then moved on to Richard Huish College from 2007 to 2009, where they completed their A Levels in Information Technology, Computing, and Preformance Studies. Finally, from 2009 to 2012, Ben attended Solent University and obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Outside Broadcast (Production Operations) with a focus on Television Broadcast.

As the Students' Union at the University of Southampton our aim is to ensure every student loves their time at Southampton. Each of the 23,000 students enrolled at the University of Southampton is one of our members. We represent their voice and interests on issues at local, national and international levels and supports them in taking action to realise their ambitions and improve their lives. It provides necessary, affordable and high quality student focused facilities and services. These include free and confidential advice; support for a huge variety of student led campaigns, societies and sports clubs; academic and course representation; and a whole range of exciting opportunities to have fun and socialise.
