David Wright

David Wright is an experienced library professional currently serving as the Associate Library Director for User Experience at the University of Southampton since September 2021. Prior to this role, David held various positions at Solent University, including Associate University Librarian and Resource Management & Access Librarian, where responsibilities encompassed strategic development, operational management of learning resources, and oversight of metadata and cataloguing. David began his career in library services as a Liaison Librarian at the University of Southampton, supporting NHS staff and students. With a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Loughborough University and a BA in Humanities from Nottingham Trent University, David has developed a strong foundation in library management and user support throughout a career spanning over two decades.
