Jake Dovey

Jake Dovey has extensive experience in IT support management, currently serving as Head of IT Support at the University of Southampton since October 2007. In this role, Jake oversees the entire IT support service, which includes the Service Desk and seven Tech Hubs. Previous positions at the university include managing the Incident Response Team and overseeing deployments and stores, providing IT support to over 30,000 staff and students, and line-managing multiple teams across various locations. Jake also has a background in help desk analysis and ICT support at Southampton City Council and Sure Start Children's Centre. Educationally, Jake holds a PGCE in Secondary English from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Portsmouth. Additionally, Jake is a Service Support Group Committee Member for UCISA.
