Lesley Turner

Lesley Turner currently serves as the Head of Practice Education for Nursing and Midwifery and as a Senior Teaching Fellow in Midwifery at the University of Southampton since September 2019. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Lecturer at Solent University from August 2016 to August 2019 and as a Tutor in Professional Healthcare Practice at Peter Symonds College Adult Education from January 2016 to April 2017. Lesley has an extensive clinical background from UHS and HHFT where employment spanned from February 2002 to August 2016 as a Midwife and Clinical Educator. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Southampton, a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from the University of Greenwich, a Bachelor's degree in Midwifery from the University of Southampton, a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of London, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Practice from the University of the West of England.
