Sarah Fielding

Sarah Fielding has over a decade of experience in digital learning and educational outreach, notably as the Manager of the Digital Learning Team at the University of Southampton from May 2010 to June 2020. In this role, Sarah spearheaded strategic change and engagement in online and blended learning, leading a team of learning designers and media specialists to produce award-winning initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as a Professional Specialist in Learning Design, where Sarah managed FutureLearn courses and innovated multimedia content, and as Assistant Regional Director for the National HE STEM Programme, emphasizing public engagement and widening participation. Additionally, Sarah held positions at the University of Portsmouth and the Centre for Science Education, focusing on mentoring, teaching assistance, and developing interactive workshops. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Palaeontology and a B.Sc. in Palaeobiology and Evolution, both from the University of Portsmouth.
