Alexandra Retana

Alexandra Retana, M.Ed., serves as the Associate Director of Student Services at the University of Southern California, focusing on academic advising and program coordination for the Daniel J Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering since October 2023. Previously, Retana excelled as a Student Success Advisor at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where recognition as the 2023 Outstanding Staff Advisor was awarded for exceptional service to approximately 6800 undergraduate engineering students. Earlier roles at the University of Southern California included Academic Advisor for undergraduate and graduate architecture students and various support positions spanning from 2009 to 2018. Alexandra holds a Master of Education in Post-Secondary Administration and Student Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Social Science Education, both from the University of Southern California.
