Aroussiak Gabrielian

Aroussiak Gabrielian is an accomplished academic and design professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Southern California, where responsibilities include teaching and research since August 2019. As the Founding Director of the Landscape Futures Lab since September 2020, Aroussiak leads innovative design-research initiatives focused on climate innovation. With a strong background in both academia and practice, Aroussiak has also served as Affiliate Faculty at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and held various consulting and design roles, including founding Foreground Design Agency. Aroussiak's previous positions include project designer at Snøhetta and lecturer at prestigious institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Toronto. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Occidental College.
