Meiling Cheng

Meiling Cheng currently serves as a Professor of Dramatic Arts/Critical Studies at the USC School of Dramatic Arts since November 2015, where responsibilities include research, teaching, and service as the Director of Critical Studies. Cheng has been an Associate Professor of Theatre, Critical Studies, and English at the University of Southern California from 1994 to 2015, and also held the position of Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts at Mount Holyoke College for a brief period in 1993-1994. Early in an academic career, Cheng was a Teaching Fellow in Theatre Studies at Yale University from 1990 to 1993. Cheng earned a Doctor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Yale University between 1986 and 1993.
