Nicholas Markarian

Nicholas Markarian is an MD-PhD candidate at the University of Southern California and Caltech, with ongoing education at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Prior experience includes serving as an undergraduate researcher at Rohs Lab, where Nicholas studied the secondary structure of long non-coding RNAs using computational methods in conjunction with experimental data, and at Finkel Lab, focusing on the growth characteristics of natural E. coli isolates. Nicholas also completed a hematology/oncology research internship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Nicholas holds a Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative Biology with Honors from the University of Southern California and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology and Biological Engineering from Caltech.
