Phebe Vayanos

Phebe Vayanos is a highly experienced professional in the fields of Industrial & Systems Engineering and Computer Science, currently serving as Co-Director and Associate Director at the USC Center for AI in Society since September 2016. Holding a position as an Associate Professor at the University of Southern California since July 2015, Phebe has also worked as an Assistant Professor in the same departments and has contributed as the Associate Director of the CAIS Center. Prior to this, Phebe gained valuable experience as a Lecturer in Operations Research and Postdoctoral Associate at MIT Sloan School of Management and MIT. Phebe's industry experience includes roles at BNP Paribas and JP Morgan, and a foundational academic background includes a PhD in Operations Research and an MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London.
