Seth Parker Woods

Seth Parker Woods currently holds the position of Robert Mann Chair in Strings and Chamber Music and Assistant Professor of Cello and Chamber Music at the University of Southern California since July 2022. Woods has extensive experience as a freelance cellist and movement researcher since July 2017. Previously, Woods served as a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the University at Buffalo, an Artist in Residence at Kaufman Music Center and Seattle Symphony, and a lecturer at Dartmouth College and the University of Chicago. Woods holds a Ph.D. in Performance Research from the University of Huddersfield, a Specialized Master’s Degree in Soloist and Chamber Music from Musik Academie der Stadt Basel, and a Bachelor of Arts in Cello Performance and Chamber Music from Brooklyn College.
