Mark Phythian

Mark Phythian is an experienced academic and engineering professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Program Director for Undergraduate Engineering and Electrical Discipline Leader at the University of Southern Queensland since January 2014, Mark previously held positions as BEng Program Coordinator and Lecturer at the same institution from April 1989 to 2013. Mark's industry experience includes roles as a Senior Design Engineer at Energy Control International from February 1987 to April 1989 and as an Assistant Electronic Workshop Engineer at QEGB/QEC (now Powerlink) from January 1982 to January 1987. Mark holds a Grad Cert in Tertiary Teaching and Learning from the University of Southern Queensland, a Master's degree in Speech Signal Processing, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from Queensland University of Technology.
