Kitty Fitzgerald

Kitty Fitzgerald is an accomplished writer, editor, and mentor with extensive experience in the field of creative writing. Currently serving as an RLF Fellow at Teesside University since September 2016 and as the initiator and tutor of a Writing Radio Drama module at the University of Sunderland since September 2014, Kitty has made significant contributions to education in this discipline. Additional roles include self-employment as a writer, editor, and mentor since November 2008, as well as performing with the Tyneside Irish Festival from 2012 to 2013. Kitty's past teaching experience includes a lecturing position in Creative Writing at Northumberland University from 2008 to 2012 and a Creative Writing Fellowship at the University of Leeds in 2006-2007. Former involvement with Cloud Nine Theatre and Iron Press highlights Kitty's longstanding engagement with the literary community, underpinned by a B.Ed with top distinction in English and Art from Exeter University and Bedford College.
