Brigitte Stangl

Brigitte Stangl is an experienced academic and professional in the field of tourism and digital marketing, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Digital Transformation in the Visitor Economy at the University of Surrey since May 2012. Stangl has held various leadership roles, including Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for BSc International Tourism Management, where responsibilities encompassed curriculum development, research design, and PhD supervision. Additionally, Stangl has contributed to the ICURe SETsquared Partnership as an Entrepreneurial Lead across multiple programs aimed at fostering innovation and commercialization. Prior experience includes consulting and academic roles at the Institute of Tourism and Leisure Science, University of Applied Sciences, HTW Chur, and WU Wien, backed by a Doctorate in Tourism and Leisure Studies from WU.
