Ioana Boureanu Carlson

Ioana Boureanu Carlson is a prominent academic and security expert currently serving as the Director of Surrey's Centre for Cyber Security Research and as a Professor at the University of Surrey since October 2016. With a rich background in research focused on the design and analysis of security and privacy in ICT and IoT, Ioana has held multiple positions, including H2020 EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at both Imperial College London and the University of Surrey. Prior experience includes roles as a Security Architect at Akamai Technologies and a Professor in Information Security at HEIG-VD.
