Jin Xuan

Jin Xuan serves as the Associate Dean (Research & Innovation) and Professor of Sustainable Processes at the University of Surrey since September 2022. Jin holds multiple prestigious positions including CTO and Co-founder at R3V Tech, Turing Fellow at The Alan Turing Institute, and Director of the UKRI CircularChem. This role involves leading a £4.4M initiative to advance the UK’s chemical industry towards a sustainable, fossil-independent model. Other roles include membership in the Strategic Advisory Group and Strategic Advisory Team at EPSRC, Editor in Chief at Digital Chemical Engineering, and an editorial position at Elsevier focused on Energy and AI. Prior experience includes leading the Department of Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University and an academic appointment at Heriot-Watt University. Jin Xuan earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong.
