Jon Weinbren

Jon Weinbren is an accomplished academic and creative professional with extensive experience in the fields of digital media, animation, and games design. Currently serving as the Director of the Centre for Creative Arts and Technologies at the University of Surrey, Weinbren oversees an interdisciplinary initiative focused on moving images and related artistic forms. Previous roles include Head of Digital Media Arts at the University of Surrey and Head of Games Design and Development at the National Film and Television School, where a successful MA program in Games Design was established. Weinbren's career also encompasses senior lecturing positions, creative direction at various organizations, and contributions to industry bodies like TIGA. With a Ph.D. in Acting, Animation, Virtual Performance, Games Technology, Affective Computing, and Digital Effects from Falmouth University, Weinbren combines a robust academic background with a rich history of practical experience in the creative arts.
