Oliver Grau

Oliver Grau is a distinguished professional in the field of visual computing and media technology, currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey since January 2011 and as a part-time visiting senior research fellow specializing in 4D video editing. From September 2018 to December 2023, Grau worked as a Research Manager and Principal Investigator at Intel Labs, focusing on synthetic data generation for AI validation and developing innovative infrastructures for XR and audiovisual experiences. Prior roles at Intel Corporation included leading simulation systems for automated driving and serving as Associated Director of the Intel Visual Computing Institute in Germany.
