Andrea Carboni is an accomplished researcher and analyst with extensive experience in conflict-related studies. Currently serving as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Sussex, Andrea contributes to the ERC-funded project on violence and resilience in states under stress. In addition, Andrea is the Head of Analysis at the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) and has previously worked as a Humanitarian Analyst at Mercy Corps. With a PhD in Geography from the University of Sussex and a Master's in European and International Studies from Università di Trento, Andrea's expertise spans various research roles and consultancy positions related to humanitarian coordination and elite networks in regions such as Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
