Fezile Sibanda is an accomplished academic and community advocate currently serving as a Widening Participation Academic Content Facilitator at the University of Sussex, where efforts focus on supporting under-represented learners in higher education. As a doctoral tutor and PhD student, Fezile explores coloniality in British higher education institutions through the lens of Black academic experiences, supported by the Stuart Hall Foundation Studentship. Additionally, Fezile co-chairs the Minoritised Ethnicities/Racialised Academics Network within the School of Education and Social Work. Other roles include contributions as an Editorial Associate for the CRT Collective and as a Staff Writer for Sweet Thang Zine, alongside founding Sustainable Sundayz, which promotes climate awareness. Fezile's educational background includes a PhD in Education and a Master's in Social Justice and Education from UCL.
