Panos Papadopoulos

Panos Papadopoulos is a seasoned professional in the field of Smart Energy Systems, currently serving as the Director of Smart Energy Systems at Motor Oil since January 2023. With a robust academic background, Panos holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Cardiff University and has been an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Sussex since June 2016, where responsibilities include delivering seminars and developing industry collaborations. Previously, Panos led Smart Energy Systems at Verd S.A. and has held various evaluative roles for European Commission initiatives. A former Editorial Board Member for the IEEE Power Energy Society, Panos has extensive experience in project management and technology development, particularly in energy storage and distributed energy resources.
