Kirsten Andrews

Vice President, External Relations at University of Sydney

Kirsten Andrews is the Vice President of External Relations at the University of Sydney. Kirsten has over twenty years of experience in public relations, marketing, and communications. Kirsten began their career in 1995 as a Marketing Officer for the University of South Australia, where they were responsible for recruiting students from equity target groups. Kirsten then spent four years as a Media Adviser for the Leader of the Opposition before joining the NSW Government as Senior Media Adviser and Deputy Director of Communications for the Premier of NSW. In 2008, Kirsten became Chief of Staff for the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in the Australian Government. Kirsten left government in 2010 to become National Manager, Media and Communications for the National Heart Foundation. Kirsten has been with the University of Sydney since 2013, first as Director of Marketing and Communications, and now as Vice President, External Relations.

Kirsten Andrews studied at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, where they completed a course in company directors. Kirsten then went on to study at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they completed a course in achieving leadership excellence. Kirsten then completed a master's degree in public policy at the University of Sydney. Finally, Kirsten completed a BA (Communication Studies) Hons at the University of South Australia, where they studied communications.
