Debra W. Cook

Debra Cook is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the financial and regulatory sectors. Most recently, Debra served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Tampa from July 2021 to May 2024. Prior to retirement, Debra was the Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) from February 2005 to May 2024, where responsibilities included leading global derivatives matters and ensuring regulatory compliance. Earlier career highlights include serving as Counsel at Citi, advising on derivatives and foreign exchange, as well as legal roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Debra holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from American University Washington College of Law, obtained in 1988.
