Jane Beaumont

Jane Beaumont is the current Executive Director of Legal and Audit at the University of Tasmania. Prior to this, they worked as Deputy Secretary for Corporate and Governance at the Department of Treasury and Finance for Tasmania from August 2016 to January 2019. In this role, Jane had line management responsibility and strategic leadership of the Corporate and Governance Division, ensuring that it was responsive to the needs of the Department. Jane also worked as Corporate Counsel for TasNetworks from August 2014 to August 2016, advising on commercial and legal matters, including regulation and compliance issues, tendering, procurement and probity and corporate governance. Prior to that, they worked as General Counsel for Ambulance Victoria from March 2008 to August 2014, and as a Senior Associate for Maddocks from April 2005 to April 2008.

Jane Beaumont reports to David Clerk, Chief Operating Officer. They work with Adrian Dillon - Chief Information Officer, Mike Hunnibell - Executive Director, Infrastructure Services & Development, and Jo Willsmore - Executive Director, Corporate Finance. Phil Leersen - Executive Director, Northern & Southern Campus Transformation, Pennelope Ratcliffe - Deputy Chief Operating Officer report to Jane Beaumont.
