Alison Byrne

Alison Byrne is currently serving as the Executive Officer to the Chief Operating Officer at the University of Technology Sydney since June 2023. Prior to this role, Alison held a brief position as the Acting Executive Project Officer at Western Sydney University in May to June 2023. From 2007 until September 2022, Alison was the Head of Institutional Planning at the University of Sydney and also served as the Benefits Realisation Manager for the Sydney Operating Model in a seconded capacity. Alison's earlier experience includes working as a Client Manager in Financial Administration at Matrix on Board from December 2005 to December 2006, as well as an Administration Officer at the Australian Museum from 2001 to 2005, and a Certified Consultant Manager at MYOB from March 1999 to May 2001. Alison holds a Master of Higher Education in Leadership and Management from Macquarie University and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Wollongong.
