Dr Yvette Selim

Dr. Yvette Selim currently serves as the Research and Engagement Manager at the University of Technology Sydney since August 2020, following a role as Interim Deputy Director at Anti-Slavery Australia. Previous positions include Senior Research Associate and Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney, Sessional Lecturer and Tutor, Learning Advisor, and Peer Writing Assistant at the University of New South Wales. Dr. Selim has also held visiting fellowships at the Centre for International Governance and Justice and the University of Oxford. Experience as a Research Consultant includes projects with the University of Bradford and the International Labor Organization. Dr. Selim's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy from UNSW, a Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford, a Bachelor of Laws from UNSW, and a Master of Bioethics from Monash University, along with a Bachelor of Medical Science from UNSW and a brief study at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior legal experience includes roles as a Solicitor and Law Clerk at Baker McKenzie.
