George Kandylas

George Kandylas currently serves as Operations Manager at BY Group since September 2023 and has held the position of Associate in the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building at the University of Technology Sydney since August 2017. Previous roles include Head of Strategic Projects at Paynter Dixon from October 2020 to September 2023 and Director of New Business | Strategy as well as Director of Construction | Commercial at Decode Group from March 2019 to October 2020. George founded Ichor Constructions Pty Ltd in 2001, leading the company to receive multiple accolades for construction excellence, safety, and project quality until February 2018. Earlier experience includes serving as Project Manager at Buildcorp from January 1998 to January 2002. Education credentials include a Bachelor of Building, Construction Management from the University of Technology Sydney (1990-1993) and high school studies at Kingsgrove High School (1984-1989).
