Ian Yip

Ian Yip serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Avertro, a venture-backed cybersecurity software company specializing in simulating attack paths, automating compliance, and quantifying risk, since August 2019. In addition to leading Avertro, Ian Yip holds advisory roles at UNSW Institute for Cyber Security and the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology Sydney, and has previously served as an Industry Mentor and Entrepreneur at CyRise. Prior experience includes positions as Chief Technology Officer for McAfee in the Asia Pacific region, Director of Cyber Security at EY, and various leadership roles at CA Technologies and NetIQ. Ian Yip earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from UNSW from 1997 to 2000.
