Jenny DorenJenny Doren, an accomplished communications leader, became Vice President for Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs in April 2023. She directs and executes marketing and communications plans that convey a consistent message in support of UT Southwestern’s strategic goals and objectives through memorable advertising, notable media, and meaningful community partnerships. She also serves as a key adviser to executive leadership, department chairs, and other stakeholders to elevate local, national, and international awareness of UTSW’s pioneering research, exceptional clinical care, and innovative academic programs. Ms. Doren joined UT Southwestern in 2016 as Director of Video Content and Strategy and then served as Interim Assistant Vice President for Communications. Most recently, she was Associate Vice President for UT Southwestern’s Health System Administration and Communications. She has developed and implemented comprehensive internal and external Health System communication strategies to build employee engagement and enhance the patient and family experience. Before joining UT Southwestern, she worked for nearly a decade as a television reporter in Illinois; Washington, D.C.; and Dallas. Ms. Doren holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University, an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Michigan, and is pursuing an executive M.B.A. in Healthcare Organization Leadership at UT Dallas.
