Andreas Papatheodorou

Andreas Papatheodorou is an accomplished academic and executive with extensive experience in tourism, economics, and aviation. Currently serving as an Executive Board Member at the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority since August 2021, Andreas holds several significant roles at the University of the Aegean, including Professor in Industrial and Spatial Economics with Emphasis on Tourism, Director of the MSc Programme in Strategic Management of Tourism Destinations and Hospitality Enterprises, and Deputy Head of the Department of Tourism Economics and Management. Additionally, Andreas is involved with the Hellenic Open University as a Thematic Area Coordinator and Adjunct Faculty Member in the MSc Programme in Tourism Business Administration. Other notable positions include Adjunct Professor at UNSW, External Associate at ENAC and FH Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, and Senior External Instructor for the Arab Air Carriers Organization. Andreas's academic foundation includes a DPhil and MPhil from the University of Oxford and a Ptychion from Athens University of Economics and Business.
