Dimitris Sarris

Associate Professor at University of the Aegean

Dimitris Sarris is an Associate Professor at the University of the Aegean since November 2015, with a focus on Food Quality and Safety, and extensive experience teaching various laboratory courses in microbiology and biotechnology. Prior to this role, Sarris was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Hellenic Agricultural Organization "Dimitra" and the Agricultural University of Athens, contributing to significant research projects related to bioconversion of industrial residues and microbial oil production. Sarris holds a PhD in Food Biotechnology from the Agricultural University of Athens, an MSc from the University of Strathclyde, and a BSc in Oenology and Beverage Technology from TEI of Athens. Additionally, Sarris has served as an Adjunct Lecturer at the TEI of Thessaly, teaching courses related to food technology and sensory analysis.
