University of the Fraser Valley
Matej Balaz is a seasoned Director and Producer, currently owning and managing Colla Films since September 2012, where responsibilities include script development, production, direction, and post-production of both commercial and narrative films. In addition to film work, Matej has served as a Sessional Instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley since September 2019. Previous experience includes roles as a Graphic Designer for CREW Marketing Partners from January 2013 to August 2015, and art direction and video production for the JAC by Jacqueline Conoir label from November 2012 to January 2015. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Graphic Designer at Bon Bon Bodywear between 2009 and 2011 and as Art Director at Rayne Longboards in 2009. Matej holds a degree from the Art Institute of Vancouver, completed between 2007 and 2009.
