Niraj Chaudhary

Dean, William Knox Holt Memorial Library & Learning Center at University of the Pacific

Niraj Chaudhary serves as dean of William Knox Holt Memorial Library and Learning Center. With a career that spans 13 years in academic library leadership, teaching and learning technologies and management, Niraj brings broad expertise and vision that is particularly well suited to meet the evolving educational and research needs of Pacific’s students and faculty.

Niraj joined Pacific in 2016 and has served as director of technology and digital initiatives, associate university librarian for organizational innovation and most recently as associate dean for technology-enhanced learning and innovation. During his time at Pacific, Niraj has played an integral role in advancing the use of digital tools to enhance teaching and learning. He was a key collaborator in serving on the leadership design team for the renovation of the William Knox Holt Memorial Library and Learning Center in 2016.

Prior to Pacific, Niraj oversaw information and educational technology services at the Auraria Library at University of Colorado Denver and worked in the Governor’s Office of Information Technology for the state of Colorado. Since 2015, he has served as an active member of the Leading Change Institute in Washington, D.C., a highly selective national cohort of library leaders.
