Lin Fung

Professor In Medical Laboratory Science at University of the Sunshine Coast

Lin Fung is a distinguished professional in the field of blood transfusion and immunobiology, holding multiple leadership roles including President Elect and Vice President of the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) since 2010. As the Founder and Team Leader of the OptiBlood Research Team since 2015, Lin Fung has focused on optimizing patient blood management. Lin Fung serves as a Visiting Research Fellow at both the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and The Prince Charles Hospital since 2014, and holds a professorship in Medical Laboratory Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Lin Fung's extensive research experience includes roles as Adjunct Senior Scientist at North Central Blood Services in the USA, and Principal Research Fellow at The University of Queensland. Education credentials include a PhD in Medicine from The University of Queensland and a Grad Dip in Management from CQUniversity.
