Robin Ploeger

VP, Business Continuity & Sustainability at University of Tulsa

Robin Ploeger leads The University of Tulsa’s business continuity program and serves as the HIPAA compliance/privacy officer.

She moved into this role after spending 27 years as a faculty member and administrator in the athletic training program and the Oxley College of Health Sciences, culminating in her role as dean. In these positions, she was instrumental in setting up all aspects of college operations, including student recruiting, faculty review process, college policies and procedures, hiring processes, fundraising strategies and opening new academic programs.

Ploeger is a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission. She was a site visitor and chair of the site visit committee for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. She was the chair of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Student Athletic Trainers’ Committee and lead mentor for the Athletic Training Students Committee. She was inducted into the Oklahoma Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame in 2022.

Ploeger has completed the CBCI certification from the Business Continuity Institute, the Certified Business Resilience Manager certification and Crisis Management & Business Resiliency certificate from MIT. She is also a certified HIPAA privacy officer through the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance.

Ploeger led the TU campus-wide self-study that was part of the Gardner Institute Transfer project. Findings led to the formation of the Transfer Student Success Committee, which she chairs. Ploeger now serves on the board of directors of Tulsa Higher Education Consortium.

She received an associate’s degree from Hutchinson Community College before transferring to Ohio University to complete her bachelor’s degree. She earned a master’s degree at Brigham Young University and received a doctorate in education from Oklahoma State University.
