Amanda MacDonald

Amanda Macdonald, MBA, currently serves as the Director of Administration & HR at the University of Utah's School of Medicine Dean's Office, a role held since October 2013. In this position, Amanda oversees personnel management, strategic planning, and provides leadership on HR matters including talent and change management. Prior to this, Amanda held several key HR roles at the University of Utah, including Associate Director of Administration & HR, Human Resources Specialist in Employee Relations, Human Resources Analyst, and Human Resources Representative, where Amanda contributed significantly to employee engagement, performance management, and onboarding processes. Additionally, Amanda's prior experience includes working as a Payroll Specialist and Human Resources Assistant at HB Boys, L.C. Amanda holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Utah College of Social and Behavioral Science.
