David Howell

David Howell is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in data architecture and management. Currently serving as the Associate Director for IT, Research Analytics and Data at the University of Utah since June 2014, David oversees the RAaD team supporting the Vice President for Research. Previous roles at the University of Utah include Data Warehouse Architect and IT Manager, where responsibilities encompassed data architecture, IT project management, and oversight of IT systems for various departments. David's consulting experience began in 2010, alongside IT managerial roles at organizations such as the Active Transportation Alliance and Physicians for a National Health Program, where David managed information systems, led strategic IT initiatives, and developed web applications. David holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Utah.
