Joe Massaro

Joe Massaro is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in systems engineering and site reliability. Currently serving as a Senior System Engineer at the University of Utah since August 2025, Joe previously held the position of Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Proofpoint from October 2017 to August 2025, where responsibilities included designing and supporting AWS infrastructure. Earlier roles include Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Senior System Engineer at the University of Utah, and System Engineer at Salesforce, among others. Joe's educational background includes a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Computer & Information Technology from Utah Tech University.
