Natalya Zahn

Natalya Zahn is an accomplished illustrator, designer, and naturalist with extensive experience in both education and creative industries. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Vermont since January 2022, Natalya teaches "Illustrating Botanicals," focusing on drawing with plants as subjects. Operated as a one-woman studio named studio/animaux since 2001, Natalya specializes in creating visual stories. Previous roles include Adjunct Illustration Faculty positions at Lesley University and the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and freelance illustration work for IDEO and National Geographic. Natalya holds a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and has pursued additional studies in Biology & Ecology as well as painting and drawing abroad.
