Paula Smith

Paula Smith is an accomplished Director of Clinical Education and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Vermont since August 2015, bringing extensive experience in higher education, student advising, public speaking, adult education, and teaching. Previously, Paula Smith served as a Physical Therapist at Potomac Hospital and Sentara Northern Virginia Hospital from 1999 to 2016 and held roles at Northern Virginia Community College as Director of Clinical Education and Professor from 1999 until August 2015. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Inova Health System, Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Currently a Doctor of Education EdD candidate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Vermont, Paula Smith also holds a Clinical Doctorate from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont.
