Sarah Heiss is an Associate Professor of Public Communication and Food Systems at the University of Vermont since August 2011, with extensive teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate courses focused on public communication, science communication, and media. Prior to this role, Sarah served as a Teaching Assistant and Instructor of Record at Ohio University's School of Communication Studies, where responsibilities included teaching foundational communication courses and specialized topics. Additional experience includes editing a health newsletter at Hiram College and working in various roles within the Department of Public Health, promoting healthy behaviors and developing communication materials. Sarah holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Communication Studies from Ohio University, as well as a B.A. in Communication from Hiram College.
