Umesh Acharya

Umesh Acharya is an experienced professional in youth development and education, currently serving as a Training and Coaching Specialist at the University of Vermont since November 2023. Prior to this role, Umesh worked as a Youth Resilience Coordinator at Vermont Afterschool Inc from February 2020 to September 2023 and as the Teen Director at Sara Holbrook Community Center from October 2018 to October 2019. Umesh's background includes research positions at UVM Medical Center and the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where involvement as a Student Research Associate and Undergraduate Research Assistant contributed to a strong foundation in academic research. Additional experience includes tutoring advanced math and science at the Community College of Vermont, working as Office Manager in the University of Vermont Upward Bound Program, and providing administrative support in various roles within the Winooski School District. Umesh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Vermont, further complemented by foundational studies at the Community College of Vermont.
