Nika Marefat is currently a Research Assistant at the University of Victoria's SMARTLab, collaborating with Harvard Medical School and patient survivors of complex relational trauma to create educational resources for healthcare providers. Previously, Nika served as a Study Coordinator, managing a project on Cognitive, Emotional, and Intellectual Resilience that involved over 300 first-year students, and worked as a VKURA Intern developing web resources for psychology undergraduates. Nika has also contributed as a Tutor in the Full Potential Scholarship Program with the Ronnen Harary Foundation, an Education Coach at Oxford Learning Centres, and a Tutor at Sylvan Learning, focusing on K-12 academic support. Additional experience includes roles as a Style Advisor at The Latest Scoop and a Journalist for Saanich Voice Online. Nika is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Victoria, expected to graduate in 2026.
