Deborah van Eersel currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer at the University of Virginia Foundation, a position held since November 2001, overseeing strategic planning, information technology, human resources, and organizational excellence initiatives. Prior to this role, Deborah served as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the United Way of Greater Charlottesville, where responsibilities included developing marketing campaigns and managing media coordination. Earlier experience includes serving as the Vice President for Business Development at Montague, Miller & Company, REALTORS®, focusing on corporate relationships and relocation services, and as the Chief Executive Officer of the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS, managing operations for a 1,000-member association and leading various initiatives. Deborah holds a BA in International Business with a focus on French from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has studied at the Université Paris-Sorbonne.
