Althea Brooks

Althea Brooks serves as the Senior Director for Lifetime Learning in the Office of Engagement at the University of Virginia, a position held since September 2006, where responsibilities include enriching the intellectual lives of alumni, parents, and friends while fostering connections with the institution. Prior to this role, Althea Brooks was the Assistant Director for Outreach Virginia at the University of Virginia, where outreach programs were created and coordinated across the Commonwealth, along with managing databases for University outreach and faculty speakers. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Development at the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, focusing on annual fundraising and event management for the Virginia Festival of the Book. Althea Brooks holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina, a Leadership Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership from the University of Virginia, and has completed a Leadership program in Academic Matters at the University of Virginia.
