Kelly Hochstetler

Kelly Hochstetler is an experienced professional in research operations, compliance, and policy, currently serving as the Associate Vice President for Research Operations, Compliance & Policy at the University of Virginia since August 2010. Past roles at the University of Virginia include Interim AVP for Operations, Policy & Compliance, Director of Research Regulatory Affairs, and Director of Finance Outreach & Compliance, overseeing multiple finance teams and developing finance policies. Prior to this, Kelly spent a decade at the University of Alaska Fairbanks as the Senior Research Compliance Officer, where responsibilities included export controls compliance and research education. Earlier experience included roles as a Research Technician and Adjunct Faculty at the same institution. Kelly holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a BA in Biology from Luther College.
