Head Football Coach at University of Virginia

Michael London currently serves as the Head Football Coach at the University of Virginia since December 2010, where notable achievements include being named the 2011 ACC Coach of the Year and the 2011 FCA National Coach of the Year. Prior to this role, London was the Head Football Coach at the University of Richmond from January 2008 to December 2009, leading the team to its first-ever FCS National Championship in 2008 and receiving multiple accolades including the American Football Coaches Association National Coach of the Year and the Black Coaches and Administrators Coach of the Year. London also has experience in law enforcement as a Detective with the Richmond Bureau of Police from 1985 to 1988, specializing in undercover and surveillance work. London holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Richmond and has furthered education at Boston College and The College of William and Mary.
